1. Soil Conservation Ranger: Candidates must possess Bachelor’s degree in Science from any Govt. recognized University with at least Physics / Chemistry / Botany / Geology / Forestry / Environmental Science as one of the subject. Or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Agriculture Engineering / Civil Engineering from any Govt. recognized University. 2. Junior Engineer: a. The candidate must possess a 3 (three) year Diploma Course either in Civil Engineering or Agriculture Engineering from a Government recognized Institution. No other diploma holder shall be eligible to apply. b. The Diploma Course must be a regular course. Diploma Course obtained through distance mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be considered. |

| Physical Fitness | |

1. Soil Conservation Ranger: (i) Of sound physical and mental health and free from any infirmity which may interfere in the discharge of duties. (i) Required to undergo Medical Examination before his appointment to the service. (iii) Candidate must submit a certificate of physical test issued by the Competent Authority. (iv) Candidate must possess the following physical standard: Height in (cm) a. Male: 155 b. Female: 145 (v) Candidates shall qualify a physical test of: a) 25 km walk for male in 4 hours and b) 16 km walk for female in 4 hours. Chest in (cm) Normal Expansion a. Male: 84 +05 b. Female: 79 +05 (vi) A candidate for direct recruitment shall produce to the Commission, certificates of good character from the following: a) The Principal/Academic officer of the University or the College or such Educational Institutions in which he studies last and b) Two respectable persons who are wellacquainted with (but not related to) the candidates. |

| Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India. | |

(i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam. (ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate as proof of residency along with the online application form. |

1. Soil Conservation Ranger: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025. 2. Junior Engineer: The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2025. |
