SC Scholarship 2024 || Pre-Matric & Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students

The Directorate of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes, Assam has released the official notification of Assam SC Scholarship Scheme. Basically, these are centrally sponsored scheme of Pre-Matric and Post-Matric scholarships for the students of Assam belonging to Other Backward Classes (SC / MSC) for the academic year 2024-2025. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online for SC Scholarship Assam 2024 through National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at www.scholarships.gov.in.

Details Description
Name of scholarship scheme Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students
Name of Organization The Directorate of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes, Assam
Eligibility Criteria Only SC Community Students are eligible to apply for the Scholarship.
Citizenship The scholarships are open to Nationals of India only.
State of Domicile Domicile state means the state in which students have their permanent address. Students are required to provide their domicile state correctly as their applications may be sent for verification to the Authorities belonging to their State of Domicile.
Family Restriction All the children of any parent/ guardian will be entitled to receive benefits of the scheme.
Income Ceiling Pre-Matric (Class-IX & X) [Component-I] and Post-Matric Scholarship:
Scholarships will be granted to the SC students whose parental/guardian's income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs per annum. The income certificate should be obtained only from the Circle Officer of respective Revenue Circle.

Pre-Matric (Class I-X) [Component-II] Scholarship:
No income bar for the children of those Engaged in Occupation involving Cleaning and Prone to Health Hazards.

# Children of those Engaged in Occupation involving Cleaning and Prone to Health Hazards, Eligible candidates will submit a certificate from District Social Welfare office, identified officer of Local body, Civic Agency or any such authority as designated by State Government.

Candidates need to visit official national scholarship portal https://scholarships.gov.in for submission of online application this scholarship

Students mandatorily need the following documents to fill up the SC Scholarship Application Form.

1. Bank Passbook
2. Income Certificate
3. Caste Certificate
4. Aadhaar Card
